In Loving Memory of Angela Moore, 1960-2020
Angela Danetta Moore, known fondly as Angie, passed away at her Brooklyn home on the morning of March 31, 2020. Angie was well-known for her passion for cooking and tidying. She will be dearly missed for her matchless sense of humor and profound care for others. She is survived by her four children, four grandchildren, a great-grandson, sister, brother, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A Virtual Celebration of Angie's Life
A life lived with love deserves to be remembered with love. Angie’s close family and friends held a digital life celebration honoring Angie on Saturday, April 11 at 3 PM via Zoom.
In lieu of an in-person gathering, we opted for a virtual format in hopes that everyone that knew and loved Angie would be able to participate. We shared stories, offered remembrances, and honored Angie’s life together.
Memorial T-Shirts
Angie’s children worked with Ana Legare, friend of the family, and owner of Monteesprints.com to create a beautiful screen-printed T-shirt that honors Angie’s love of and respect for elephants. Angie collected elephants from all over the world and displayed them proudly in her living room.
The front of the T-shirt shows a large multi-colored elephant, with its trunk down. In many cultures, the elephant represents power, stability, wisdom, kindness, family, loyalty, peace, and determination. On the back in purple writing is “Rest in Peace, Angie,” and a quote by Maya Angelou.
A great soul serves everyone all the time.
A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.
– Maya Angelou
Angie loved to cook, clean, and lounge in an over-sized T-shirt. Her children will wear their memorial T-shirts for years to come especially as they engage in these activities.
You can purchase your own memorial T-shirt for $25, which includes shipping to your address. T-shirts can be ordered in men’s, women’s, or youth cuts. View the size chart here. A large batch order will be placed at the end of April. Please contact Delphinia to order a t-shirt before April 30 for May delivery.
